RE: I'm so burnt out on my Toybox research

Oh please dont do what we did!! We have a 2003 ford F350 diesel we looked at every toyhauler you could dream of. In feb 08 we ordered a 3505 LED WW it was the best looking and had the garage with the sliding glass doors, at the time we thought from the sticker inside the cabinet that we would be fine weight wise, We ordered alot of extras by the time we got it back we went on a trip without bikes and with only 20 gallons of water, 2 full propane tanks, 20 gallons of fuel in generator and 40 in the pump station. We were 2300 lbs over weight!!! that is without the bikes and full water!! now we have been trying to sell this beautiful unit that we only had for 3 months because the only vehicle that can legally tow it is the new ford F450. No one will give us even half of what we paid for it because of the liquidation of WW and a new truck will have us in for at least 45,0000!!!!! We are screwed! Hope this saves you from some pain.. You might look at buying a used class 8 truck, ie: big rig. I have seen prices down to $15K with 750k miles on them. Do a search and you'll find guys converting Volvo's with auto shift trannys, they remove one of the dual drive axles and the redo the condos and make it an RV so no CDL is needed. Here's a link to one such site http://truckhome.com/eve

RE: Question for SuperGlide Owners

Well you guys made your point and I concur also added bonus if someone asks me to move their rig I'll have to say "I can't because your rig doesn't have the capture plate, sorry" Ordered SG today now I wait.

Question for SuperGlide Owners

To all those that have PullRite's SuperGlide, do you feel because your limited to pulling your own trailer and can't pull anyone else's that it came to decision factor. What I'm trying to say have you ever had to say no to somebody about moving or pulling their fiver? Looking for input. Thanks

SamsClub Diesel Fuel

So guess what gang, I know that some of the clubs carry diesel fuel at their fuel islands so I looked online and no mention of diesel fuel. So I called them and they were no help either, they do not have a listing on what stores carry diesel. Go figure. My gripe for the day. Going camping this weekend, yippie!!!

RE: New Cougar Finds Home

Welcome to the Cougar club, owner since Nov. 07 with 289BHS and so far so good no complaints yet. Oh wait I do have one, what's were they thinking when they put in that lazy susan. Added bonus was our rig was upgraded with a 26" HDTV from the factory. R-

RE: Champion Hour Meter Upgrade

Well I made one mistake hooking up the meter, since I'm powering it on the 12v output I thought I could use the chassis ground. Hooked everything up and the meter was not working, duh 12v has it's own circuit. So moved the negative wire to the minus side put it all back together and bingo I'm counting time. The one thing I used to tap into the pos/neg wires are the 3m ScotchLocks, hope I don't have problems, but at least I'll know if it does. My next plan is to add a 12v led light just to give me a piece of mind.

RE: Converting tail lights to LED tail lights

Ok I'll jump in on this one too. I had thought about going to LED's and may still but only on the clearance lights since they are mounted high on the rig and are kinda hard to get to without a ladder. But my concern is what if my LED tail lights develop a problem of whatever kind, where do I find a replacement when I'm in BFE? Most stores,7/11,WallyWorlds carry replacement bulbs of the incandescent type. Thats my take on it.

Ok I can't believe nobody has one of these gensets. Looking at all the others and the Kipor they all look like the same design.
